General information:

The Youth Days of Szeged (Szegedi Ifjúsági Napok, SZIN Festival) was founded in 1968, and at this time this was the only youth festival in Hungary. Every year there were thousands of young people visiting Szeged because of the great program and the „feeling” of those few days in the „city of sunshine”.
After the political changes, the festival was not organized, because the lack of intention and sponsorship. However, the mayor of the city decided to retrieve this significant event and a small group of enthusiastic young organizers started to work on it.
After the rebirth…
2003
There were about twelve thousand visitors at the last weekend of August who really had a good time. Mainly the most popular Hungarian rock groups took part besides the so-called „Incognito” funky group. The festival proved the organizers to have been worth doing this and it turned out that such a big city with universities near to the Romanian and Serbian border needs to have such an event.
2004
Thank to the first year’s success, the organizers were able to start working with a bigger budget and as a result create an even higher standard program with one of Hungary’s most popular musicians, ÁKOS. There were around 25 thousand visitors during the four days. With this the festival became Hungary’s 4th biggest one concerning the number of people and the  offer of colourful program.
2005
This year we decided to invite at least one famous and popular foreign star group, and finally we managed to book The Cure and the Alphaville. This year the planned program is longer too, as a result we had 5 stages with more than one hundred performances between 24th and 28th August.
2006
This year was also a bit different than that of the previous ones, as we decided to have more, but smaller foreign performances. As a result we had such performances on the stages like The Transglobal Underground, The Tarantinos, The Toy Dolls, Mr Lab!, Covenant, Adam Freeland, Tom Novy, Jerry Ropero. The number of visitors also grew especially the ones who came for four days
2007
Last year we will had 8 program places including five stages. There number of visitors was almost doubled which is really remarkable. We had such performances on the main stage like: Kosheen (Live), Apollo 440, Freestylers dj, dj Spor, Superhiks (MK) and the leading Hungarian festival performances.
2008
We have confirmed several foreign acts like: Morcheeba (UK); Phats and Small (UK), Russkaya (RUS), Backyard Babies (S), Within Temptation (NL), Dieselboy (USA), Raiden (EST), Temper D (UK)...and Hungary's most popular bands were there, as well!
2009
Line up:
Gabriella Cilmi (AUS), Macy Gray (USA), Guano Apes (DE), Russkaja (RU), !DelaDap! (A/CZ), Black Sun Empire (NL), Evil Nine (UK), Dj Spiller (IT), Folkfree feat Bauchklang MCs, etc.
